We're part of the Shell StartUp Engine 2025 cohort. On March 4th, we'll present at Demo Day after months of working with mentors who've spent decades building energy infrastructure at scale.
Why This Matters for Climate Tech
For early-stage climate tech startups, the gap between a working product and enterprise deployment is where most companies stall. You can build great technology in a lab. Getting it into the hands of operators who manage thousands of sites across multiple continents is a different challenge entirely.
Shell StartUp Engine bridges that gap. The programme connects startups with people who've actually deployed at scale: led global EV charging rollouts, managed energy operations across markets, and navigated the regulatory complexity that comes with operating in the energy sector.
The Programme
This isn't a typical accelerator. There's no pitch practice or investor speed-dating. The focus is on operational readiness: working sessions with industry veterans, candid feedback on what actually breaks when you try to scale, and exposure to the real constraints of enterprise energy infrastructure.
For a climate tech startup building for the energy transition, that's the kind of insight that's hard to find elsewhere. Investors can tell you about markets. Customers can tell you about pain points. But the people who've spent 20 years deploying infrastructure at global scale can tell you where things actually fail.
The Cohort
Building alongside other founders working on adjacent problems has been valuable. The energy transition isn't one company's challenge to solve. It's an ecosystem, and understanding how different pieces fit together helps everyone build better.
We'll be presenting what we've built and sharing our roadmap. If you're an investor or potential partner interested in attending, get in touch.
What's Next
Demo Day is a milestone, but the real work continues. We have live pilots running and a product in market. What the programme has given us is a clearer view of the path from here to enterprise scale.
To the Shell StartUp Engine team and our mentors: thank you for the time and candour. To our fellow cohort members: looking forward to building alongside you.
For Investors
We're raising our seed round in 2026. If you're interested in climate tech and the energy transition, we'd welcome a conversation: hello@wattif.io
